AVMM Corporate Sponsor

As our 13th annual A Very Merry Market approaches, we would like to extend to you the opportunity to support us with a sponsorship. Every dollar from our market goes directly to our efforts of improving the lives of women and children in our own community. The Junior League of Alexandria’s success can be attributed to the generosity of the many individuals, businesses and organizations that join with us.  This document will detail the available sponsorship opportunities. We hope you will consider a sponsorship donation for our ongoing efforts.

The Junior League of Alexandria’s annual A Very Merry Market holiday shopping extravaganza is scheduled for October 20-22, 2016 at the Alexandria Riverfront Center.

Why become a Corporate Sponsor?

  • Our market will feature carefully selected merchants from around the U.S. and draws over 5,000 shoppers.
  • Junior League of Alexandria was influential in the initial incorporation, development, and planning of the Central Cities Development Corporation, The Alexandria Museum of Art, River Oaks Square Arts & Crafts Center, The Tree House and Rapides Arts and Humanities Council
  • Junior League of Alexandria services the needs of the community in the areas of women’s and children’s issues.  The current focal area is Foster Care.  The goal is to make a positive impact by helping the parents and grandparents of these children with the safety, health, happiness and success of their families.
  • In the last 5 years alone, Junior League of Alexandria has donated approximately $100,000 through its Grants Program and Scholarships for Seniors and its members have contributed an estimated 100,000 volunteer service hours to the league and the community!
  • In the 2014-2015 League year, Junior League of Alexandria awarded gifts to 15 different foster families to help them with their needs; we provided goods for the Hope House, joined in with the local food bank and filled over 600 bags with children’s food items to be delivered to children throughout the area.  During Mardi Gras season, the League members visited an area nursing home and paraded through the halls with their children spreading Mardi Gras spirit and delivering items.  In May, will participated in the local Girls on the Run.  We handed out bandannas decorated with inspirational messages in our Bold Bandanna Booth.
  • We promote active lifestyles with our Kids in the Kitchen program. Children learn the fundamentals of nutrition and loving themselves.  Our goal is to empower children with the skills they need to make healthy choices and improve the future health of the community.
Junior League of Alexandria has served the Alexandria community for over 75 years, beginning in 1941 with 35 charter members of the Junior Service League.  Forty one years ago, in 1974, the organization was accepted into the Association of Junior Leagues, becoming Junior League of Alexandria. There are currently over 300 Provisional, Active and Sustainer members.  Our members are trained in the areas of communications, community impact, recruiting, training and fundraising.
  • Junior League of Alexandria is a group of recognized and dedicated leaders who are committed to significantly impacting critical needs through efforts of motivated and educated volunteers.  By focusing its resources, in collaboration with other organizations, Junior League of Alexandria maintains a sense of flexibility and camaraderie, which enables it to positively impact the community in a caring and effective manner.

We look forward to your support and partnership in A Very Merry Market. Your partnership will help ensure our success so that together we can enrich our community. Please return the Sponsor Commitment Form by June 1, 2016. Thank you for your commitment.
